Amazon.co.uk Review
The slightly disappointing commercial returns for Saw 6 may have been grabbing the headlines when the film made its cinematic bow in October 2009, yet this clouded another factor about the movie itself: that it was the best Saw feature for some time.

Granted, the film does have an overriding feel of business as usual, and Saw VI isn’t shy about tying itself close to the hallmarks of the series thus far. So we get no shortage of gore, a collection of new traps for the latest unsuspecting victims to do battle with, and the influence of Tobin Bell’s Jigsaw still firmly felt.

In Saw VI though, it holds together a little better than we’ve been used to seeing. This time, we get Special Agent Stahm going up against Detective Hoffman, the latter of whom is very much trying to build on the legacy of Jigsaw. It’s not the deepest of premises, but it works, and the film ties in just enough plot intrigue to get you to the end. Plus, the set piece sequences work well, and while the editing style is still a little too fractious, the end result is a real improvement, and an effective horror movie. Inevitably, though, episode seven of the series is on the way…! --Jon Foster

3 out of 5 stars does not play on computers with blu ray   July 27, 2010
W. Hasibeder
First I want to point out that you should not buy the bluray if you want to play it on a computer who has a blu ray player it will not play with powerdvd. It plays fine on a blu ray player, for me on my ps3. I think the description should somehow mention that fact. Copy protection produces non standards, and there sure could be problems with other blu ray player. For the movie it's like all the saw movies, a lot of blood and violence.

4 out of 5 stars Saw fan :)   June 14, 2010
Sophie T (Cornwall, England)
As a massive saw fan, I was pleased with this film after what seemed to be a fairly bad 5th.
If you're considering buying this as you've heard of the saw films, and want to watch a bit of horror, then don't without having watched the previous five films, as this film won't make any sense to you.
However, if you've seen all the saw films up to this one, then this one is a good buy: still never going to compete with the original saw film, saw 6 is definitely a good one. The storyline has you hooked throughout, and as usual, the saw creators don't disappoint with the amount of gore it has in it.
Enjoy!

Not the best blu-ray, but worth it.

i love all the saw films, including this one, but instead of giving a review, i thought i would ask a few questions which have been bugging me. if jigsaw is now dead, he obviously can,t blackmail hoffman anymore, so why is he still putting people in traps? another question, since hoffman is now working on his own, how is he able to catch so many people in one go and put them in these elaborate traps? better yet, why are so many people so easy to catch, no one ever puts up a fight in these movies. yes, i know i,m nitpicking but some kind of realisim wouldn,t hurt, would it?
