Funniest series EVER March 10, 2010 D. Treasure (Edinburgh, Scotland) I have to say, the inbetweeners is one of the funniest series I have ever watched! So brutally honest with the way teenages think (especially boys). It doesn't hold back at all and every episode leaves me in stiches! Great comedy, original, funny and outrageous!
Fast delivery, great condition and definitely a must for anyone who loves a good laugh!
a review from the outside March 8, 2010 Christine V. Carter (California) I heard of this show off and on for a while but the ads made it look a little too inappropriate for my tastes. When I finally gave it a try, I was very excited. It's mix of exaggerated teenage situations and outsider humor really makes for a fun view. Simon Bird's continueous narration is a surprisingly imaginative touch which gives humor to scenes that might otherwise fall flat.
I purchased the DVD as I love to watch shows in large chunks. BBC America was playing it recently, but it was horribly truncated. I do not know if this was an attempt to appease the puritanical rules over American television or if they were also heavily edited for the original audience. This is why I get the original DVDs. I had to get a regionless player, but it was worth it. They cut so much out on the BBC America DVDs.
I would recommend this to anyone who can look back at school and laugh. It might hit too close to home to those who never let the experience go... All in all, a very enjoyable and well done program.
dvd March 4, 2010 Ms. A. J. Tinkler (england) I loved this programme and the Dvd is even better, love it love it!
When your feeling a bit rubbish put this on and it will make you laugh out loud, we all know boys like these it is so cringeworthy. There are also some good extras, especially the outakes, a laugh a minute.
Funniest show in years! March 3, 2010 COYS!! (La Canada, CA, USA) I saw the first two (edited!) episodes on BBC America with my 19 yr old son and just had to order this set through Amazon. We were both laughing our heads off! My son connected with it immediately and I was transported back to my youth in the UK. It just goes to show how despite how much our world changes, elements of human behaviour remain the same. Word of warning: if you are offended by the overtly sexual language of the average teen, this might not be for you!!
The Inbetweeners....pure laughter! February 25, 2010 Mrs. C. Wood (U.K) If you need a laugh, then this is a must. Look out for the Duke of Edinburgh episode!! Each episode is 26mins of fun, if you're into this kind of humour. Can't wait for the next series.
